The training should start for a dog in its earlier stage itself. Training a puppy is easier than training an adult dog. The first basic training is the dog leash training.

Initially you should train your dog to wear a collar. The collar should be of right size. It shouldn’t be too large to come out of its neck or it shouldn’t be too small tightening its neck.

You should practice your puppy walking on leash at least 5 minutes initially.

Training an adult dog also involves the same procedure. But training an adult dog is more difficult than training a puppy.
